In this infusion, the bittersweet flavor of echinacea is accompanied by fruity elderberries and aromatic basil. Vitamin C, natural and precious in acerola, supports the body's defense mechanisms.

This infusion is neutral on Kapha, increases Vata and Pitta.

Properties

  • Echinacea:
    Flower of the Asteraceae family, Echinacea grows wild in North America. The Indians already appreciated it for its medicinal properties.
  • Acerola:
    Packed with nutrients, this bright red cherry grows primarily in South America and Jamaica. At around 1700 mg per 100 g, its vitamin C content is the highest among all known varieties of fruit and vegetables (almost 37 times more than oranges).
  • Rosehip:
    Rose hip belongs to the Rosaceae family and contains 5 times more vitamin C than lemon. Its fruits have a slightly bitter and sweet taste. They contain fruit acids, minerals, iron as well as vitamins A, B, E, P and K.
  • Basil:
    Basil or "royal herb" as the ancient Greeks called it arrived in northern Europe in the 12th century. Its deliciously spicy aroma is sublimely highlighted in Mediterranean cuisine, but also in freshly prepared herbal teas.
  • Elderberries:
    Consumed for nearly 6,000 years, elderberries are rich in essential nutrients. This is why they were used in Antiquity and in the Middle Ages for their excellent medicinal properties. Elderberries contain high levels of vitamins C and A as well as iron, zinc and essential oils.
  • Moringa:
    Originally from the Himalayas, Moringa is a real "magic tree". Moringa contains a number of nutrients, iron, calcium, protein, vitamin C and antioxidants.
  • Cinnamon:
    Cinnamon was one of the most expensive spices in the world and is believed to have already been used in China as a spice and as a medicinal remedy 3000 BC Cinnamon comes from the bark of the cinnamon tree in South Asia, its taste is aromatically sweet and it contains, besides tannins, a precious essential oil.
  • Ginger:
    Used for over 3000 years in the Far East as a medicinal and aromatic plant, ginger has a pungent and fruity taste but also many vitamins, essential oil and precious minerals.
  • Cardamom:
    It is one of the most popular spices in Asia and Arab countries. Its pungent and delicate aroma makes it a particularly suitable spice for spicing up many dishes ranging from the hottest curries to spicy Christmas pastries. In addition, its essential oil and other important nutrients make cardamom one of the oldest medicinal plants in the world.
  • Black pepper :
    "King of spices", black pepper is native to the Malabar coast in India. Its intensely fragrant taste varies from slightly spicy to spicy. In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, black pepper is not only recommended for seasoning, but also as a medicinal remedy due to its valuable active ingredients.
  • Hibiscus:

  • Cocoa bark:

    Licorice has been known since ancient times as a medicinal herb. It contains a sweetener 50 times more powerful than sugar. Its taste is sweet, intense and slightly bitter.
  • Fennel :
    Fennel is one of the oldest known medicinal plants in the world. It is part of the umbelliferous family and has been prized for millennia around the world for its intense aroma. Fennel has a sweet spicy flavor somewhat reminiscent of anise.

Use

Pour 200 ml of boiling water over the bag and let steep for 5 minutes or longer if you want a stronger taste.
